Established as an NHS charity in 1996, WHH Charity is the only charity across Warrington and Halton that exists to support complete life care – from birth through to end of life care, and every day in between. We cover both boroughs, working across hospital settings, community locations, people’s own homes and online (for example, through virtual wards).
Since 2016, when the charity became its most active, nearly £2million has been donated through the community. Every penny given to our charity stays within our hospitals and helps us to provide additional services, specialist equipment and items to enhance the excellent care provided by our dedicated hospital teams, for example in maternity, neonatal, cancer, dementia, and mental health care.
Community support has helped fund a new soft play areas and sensory room for the Children’s Ward, an Intensive Care patients garden balcony and even a wonderful hairdresser’s station within the Dementia Forget Me Not Ward, where patients can have the full salon experience should they wish.
We are proud to have a strong track record of delivering projects that have a significant positive impact on people’s lives, and have big ambitions for the years ahead.
