London Marathon Events is a world-leading events management company and a social purpose organisation.

Together with our parent charity, the London Marathon Foundation, we work to inspire activity in all ages, abilities and demographics.

We create and deliver an extensive portfolio of running, cycling and swimming events which includes the TCS London Marathon and Ford RideLondon in addition to initiatives and outreach programmes which inspire activity and transform the lives of individuals in schools and communities across the UK.

London Marathon Events passes its surplus every year through corporate gift aid to its parent charity, the London Marathon Foundation.

About London Marathon Foundation

The London Marathon Foundation (the Foundation) is the parent charity of London Marathon Events (LME).

Every year, LME’s surplus is passed as corporate Gift Aid to the Foundation. This, as well as other donations and interest, is used by the Foundation to fund projects that inspire activity in London and across the UK.

The Foundation's vision is to inspire activity; for all ages, abilities, backgrounds and communities.

We believe that participating in sport and physical activity has the power to change lives. We’re one of the UK’s major funders of projects and initiatives that inspire children and adults across the UK to lead active and healthy lives.

Volunteer

Every year brilliant volunteers play a crucial role in the delivery of our events.

In return, you receive lunch, kit, and amazing work experience ranging from marshalling the route, handing out water and celebrating with finishers by handing out medals.

We also have volunteer Tailwalkers who keep the atmosphere high among our back-of-the-pack participants. There are also dedicated recycling volunteers who work at recycling stations, ensuring that waste is separated and ready to be recycled.
