Tourettes Action works in England, Wales and Northern Ireland and is the leading support and research charity for people with Tourette Syndrome and their families. We want people with TS to receive the practical support and social acceptance they need to help them live their lives to the full.
Tourette Syndrome (TS) is an inherited neurological condition. It affects one school child in every hundred. Over 300,000 children and adults are living with TS in the UK.
The key features of Tourette Syndrome (TS) are tics; both repeated movements and sounds that are involuntary. Most people with TS will experience co-occurring conditions also such as Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and anxiety.
Our vision is a world where those with TS receive comprehensive support, navigating various life stages, and advancing research for improved treatments. Operating without government support, Tourettes Action relies solely on contributions from supporters like you. Your fundraising efforts are crucial to our mission of assisting people with TS and their families throughout their journey.
