Facing court can be daunting and life‑changing. Decisions about children, homes and livelihoods are often made when people have no lawyer, no guide and no idea what to expect. Support Through Court provides free, practical help to anyone representing themselves, regardless of income. Our volunteers support people before, during and after court, helping them understand papers, prepare what to say, and face proceedings with dignity and confidence.
For 25 years, we’ve supported thousands of people through a national network across England and Wales. Access to justice is a right - and no one should have to face court alone.
