South East and Central Essex Mind is your local independent mental health charity based in Southend. We serve the Castle Point, Chelmsford, Rochford, Southend and South Woodham Ferrers areas helping support local people with their mental health and wellbeing needs. We rely entirely on your kind donations and fundraising to help fund our services and work in the community.

We work within the community to raise awareness and campaign to reduce stigma around mental health. Our charity provides supported housing, counselling for both adults and children, PACE support, wellbeing mentoring for children and young people, mental health training and mental health signposting to anyone who needs it.

We are a 'Local Mind', separate from the well known national charity 'Mind'. Although part of the federation, we are a separately registered charity. There are around 100 Local Minds in the UK, each responsible for their own funding. Every penny raised for SECE Mind helps us to provide vital services and make a difference to local people’s lives.
