Seb's Foundation

Seb’s Foundation provides opportunities for young people who would not otherwise be able to access them because they come from disadvantaged backgrounds. We do this by removing barriers and providing scholarships so that talented young people are able to fulfill their academic and sporting potential, develop and flourish. We then provide on-going support and advice to their parents/carers and families to maximise the benefits of the opportunities provided, and collaborate with key partners to support their mental health and wellbeing.

For the first time in a century, infant mortality in the UK rose in 2015. It then rose again in 2016. Much of this is related to poverty and inequality. A report in October 2018 by the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health predicts that if the rate of increase stays the same, the UK's infant mortality will be 140% higher than 15 other European countries within the next 12 years. Seb’s Foundation is working to combat the effects of deprivation by transforming the lives of young people who, through no fault of their own, find themselves struggling in their day-to-day lives, opening doors that would otherwise be closed to them.

Seb’s Foundation was established to bring hope from tragedy, following the death of Seb Adeniran-Olule, aged 20, in a road traffic collision in 2016.
