Alice Hendy lost her only sibling, her brother Josh, on 25th November 2020 to suicide. After examining Josh’s phone, Alice found that he had been researching techniques to take his own life via harmful internet searches. To ensure more help and support is given to individuals searching for harmful content online, Alice set up Ripple Suicide Prevention Charity.
The charity’s pioneering technology, Ripple BrowserShield, protects people online at their most vulnerable moments. It intercepts harmful searches related to self-harm, suicide, substance misuse, eating disorders, gambling harms, and other mental health challenges, offering a message of hope and guiding people to free mental health support.
It is forever free for individuals, parents, guardians, schools, colleges, universities and registered charities worldwide.
