Since 1980, Prospect Hospice has provided dedicated end-of-life care to local people around the clock, every day of the year.
The charity provides a range of services to support around 1,800 people each year to live independently for as long as possible and cares for people in their own homes as well as in the hospice based in Wroughton.
Care goes beyond providing a nice setting for people to spend their last days and extends to a range of support services including therapy support to assist with breathlessness and fatigue and family support to help with bereavement. All care is tailored to the patient, asking them what matters to them, to ensure care is truly personalised.
All of this is provided free of charge, with no cost to patients or their families, thanks to the generous donations of local people, helping to raise £8.5 million each year to ensure anyone, anywhere can receive outstanding care at the most difficult time.
