"Ovacome provides a range of support services for those affected by ovarian cancer. This includes the family and friends of those diagnosed, as well as those who might be at higher risk of the disease because of their family history. We offer a telephone support line, as well as email and instant chat support, a 24-hour online forum and expert information booklets on ovarian cancer.
Ovacome is a community for anyone affected by ovarian cancer, meaning that the charity also provides regional and online groups and events where people can meet others in similar circumstances, to share advice and offer each other encouragement along the way.
Ovacome works closely with doctors and other clinicians to ensure that those diagnosed are given the most up-to-date information to help them navigate their treatment and care. We also run a highly successful UK Survivors Teaching Students programme, giving presentations and educating student nurses, doctors and specialists on signs, symptoms and experiences of people with ovarian cancer.
We have over 4,000 members and each year we support around 18,000 people. "
