The Livingstone Tanzania Trust supports people and communities to improve their lives for themselves. We work to ensure that both boys and girls have equal access to a good education where all can feel safe and inspired. We work with adults and youth groups to support them achieve their entrepreneurial aspirations by proving business training. We train and mentor people to enhance their farming skills so that they can maximise their potential.
The way we work is as important as the work itself. We sit with and listen to the community to learn about the challenges they face and understand the obstacles that prevent them from progressing on their own, and together we work out how to overcome those challenges and we adapt the plans as needed to ensure we are always meeting the needs of the community.
The African philosophy of Mbuntu revolves around the concept of how can i be happy when my neighbour is not, is a philosophy at the heart of our work and motivates us to work towards a better tomorrow for everyone
