First Touch

Supporting sick and premature babies at St George's

At First Touch, our purpose is to enhance the care and outcomes for premature and sick babies treated in the neonatal unit at St George’s Hospital

Our goals are threefold:

  • To provide state-of-the-art medical equipment not within the scope of NHS budgets.
  • To support staff by funding advanced training opportunities, empowering them with the latest skills, knowledge, and practices.
  • To deliver compassionate support for families, helping them navigate the emotional and practical challenges of having a baby in intensive care.

Our values—compassion, excellence, integrity, collaboration, and hope—are at the heart of everything we do. We believe in standing alongside families during some of the most difficult moments of their lives, and we are driven by the belief that every baby deserves the best possible start.

The impact of our work is felt every day in the neonatal unit: in the advanced equipment that aids fragile lives, in the comfort offered to families through our welfare initiatives, and by the staff who are supported to provide the best possible care. Our work is made possible through the unwavering generosity of individuals, families, schools, businesses, and charitable trusts who share our vision of hope, healing, and excellence in neonatal care.
