FACES (Family and Children's Early-help Services) is a well established local independent charity offering practical and emotional support to families under stress. We provide tailored support to enable parents/carers in providing safer, happier and healthier homes in which children can thrive and reach their full potential. FACES’ objective is to offer services and support to children, young people and their families that:
• Promote safeguarding
• Improve physical and mental health
• Increase knowledge and skills
• Reduce poverty and need
We will achieve this by working collaboratively with other agencies to deliver the best possible outcomes. Our projects consist of support for victims of domestic abuse and exploitation, advocacy and advice on children with special educational needs, working in schools with key stage 1 children to improve their emotional literacy, parenting group support and 1-1 within their homes to build confidence and self esteem, support for dads and financial aid. We recruit and train volunteers from diverse backgrounds to work alongside practitioners to ensure the support is tailored to the needs of the family.
