The Robin Hood Half Marathon is one of the longest established and most popular city centre road events in the UK.
A picturesque route taking you along Victoria Embankment, River Trent, past Nottingham Castle, Robin Hood statue, The Park and Wollaton Park where you're bound to see a few deer roaming. Finishing on Victoria Embankment Recreation ground next to the River Trent.
The Little Ted Foundation was set up following the founders’ devastating loss of their little boy, Ted, who they lost to cancer in April 2022, at the age 16 months old.
The families we support are granted a holiday that comes with a little extra spending money. The aim is to ensure that, regardless of financial circumstances, beneficiaries can find solace and enjoy a well-deserved break away. Whether it is creating lasting memories with their poorly child or finding a moment of peace after the loss of a beloved child. Another crucial objective is to offer financial support during extended hospital stays and provide opportunities for cherished moments closer to home, when visiting Little Ted's Lodge is not possible.
The Little Ted Foundation assists all families with seriously ill children, not just those battling cancer. While children fighting cancer hold a special place in our hearts, we recognise that families dealing with lesser-known illnesses face similar hurdles and hardships. They deserve the same opportunities to create precious memories together.
As a small charity, we rely on volunteers and fundraising events to ensure that we have the funds secured to continue to support families across the UK each year.
