Sightsavers' vision is of a world where no one is blind from avoidable causes and where visually impaired people participate equally in society.
Worldwide 2.2 billion people have a visual impairment, but almost half of this is preventable or treatable. We believe nobody should be blind from avoidable causes, and we want everybody, no matter where they live, to be able to access eye treatment when they need it, regardless of who they are or where they live.
