The park is situated on the Norwood Ridge, offering views of Central London, Greenwich and the North Downs. This undulating route in the beautiful park is the perfect opportunity for a fun morning run, even passing a few dinosaurs along the course! Learn to Love to Read is a small charity targeting socially disadvantaged children within Wandsworth who are struggling to develop the core skill of literacy. Research shows low literacy is linked to poverty and social exclusion and that making children confident readers is the easiest way to improve their life opportunities. To work towards our vision of making “every child a reader’ we provide reading materials, organise early literacy classes (0–4-year-olds), deliver regular parent talks and workshops and offer weekly one-to-one support to primary-age children to improve reading skills and build confidence.
