The Asda Foundation Leeds 10K was Jane Tomlinson’s vision. Jane founded the race using funds she raised by completing a series of astonishing endurance challenges, all whilst battling terminal cancer.
Jane died in 2007 soon after launching the first 10K. Today, the event has grown to become the highlight of the city’s running calendar; a hugely popular, inclusive and superbly-supported race for participants of all abilities.
In many ways, the Asda Foundation Leeds 10k captures the can-do, inspirational spirit of its founder.
Throughout the route that takes in many of the city’s historic landmarks, crowds come out in force. A fantastic atmosphere and friendly volunteers make the event unforgettable for all.

One in 700 children are born with this condition - about 1,000 a year in the UK. CLAPA provides information, advice and one to one support through its national network of branches.
