Since 1926 Cheltenham Animal Shelter has been caring for stray, abandoned and unwanted dogs, cats and small animals who need support when they are most vulnerable. Last year we were able to help over 450 homeless pets, because of the generous donations we receive.
Each day at our site in Cheltenham we have an average of 70 homeless pets. We give each pet a warm bed, nutritious food, and the medical attention it needs. Our staff and volunteers love and care for each animal until we can find them a new home, and a second chance of a happy life.
A key part of our charitable work is to help educate people about animal welfare. Our community team reaches out to hundreds of local adults and children with talks, events, and animal visits; and our specialist programmes enable youths with a range of mental health issues to work with our animals.
