Build Africa

Build Africa is an award-winning development charity. We believe in the power of education to help end poverty, and work to ensure that children in rural Africa have the best opportunity to learn.

Where we work

We currently work in remote, rural areas of Africa. These are areas that suffer from especially high levels of poverty and low levels of educational achievement. Isolated from mainstream services, they can often be overlooked by governments and NGOs.

Build Africa knows that each community we support is different. We take time to understand their unique needs, and pride ourselves on the relationships we maintain. We employ local staff, not just with expertise in our programmes, but in the social and cultural environments in which they work.

What we do

We focus on giving often vulnerable children the right infrastructure, resources, quality teaching and parental support to help them get the most from their time at school and go on to lead productive, healthy and happy lives.
