WISHH is the official charity of Hull Hospitals, raising funds to enhance Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill Hospital for the benefit of patients, visitors and staff. From funds raised, we provide items above and beyond NHS budgets to enhance facilities, equipment and services, giving patients and their families the best possible experience, comfort and care during some of the most vulnerable times of their lives.
We also support fundraisers who wish to help various areas of Hull Hospitals, from the Queen’s Centre for Oncology and Haematology, the medical elderly and children, to cardiology and all other medical disciplines across the hospitals, with over 120 charitable funds. Each year, Hull Hospitals cares for over 603,000 local people and provides specialist services to a population of over 1.25 million. 10,000 staff deliver acute medical, surgical and emergency care.
As the major trauma centre for the region, the Trust provides critical care services, with beds for intensive care and high dependency at both hospitals. It also runs the Eye Hospital and Hull Women and Children’s Hospital, which includes a 26-cot neonatal intensive care unit and four transitional care beds.
