Sussex Nightstop - The Everest Challenge

Date: 07th Jun 2024

Minimum Age: 5

Everest

An incredible medal-winning 64k journey for individuals and groups who want a fitness challenge. Complete distance-based hill walks throughout Sussex and advance to the summit of the world's highest peak, tracking every stage with the Everest App.
250 words: Conquer the equivalent of Everest in the Sussex hills! We’ve put together a six-leg challenge for keen walkers to pursue, taking in beautiful scenery across Sussex.

The challenge starts with a ‘hill and vale’ walk from Frog Firle Farm, chalking up an easy 6.4k, then another similar distance from Fulking on the South Downs, stepping up to 10.4k for a South Downs walk to Bignor; a 10.6k walk to Amberley and then an 11.2k walk from Ditchling Beacon to Devil's Dyke. The final stage is a 19.7k walk from Lewes to Firle Beacon across the South Downs.

If you prefer, you can of course select your own hill walks nearer home and chalk up the kilometers at your own pace.

Get a group of friends or colleagues together to complete the challenge with you and make it social.

Sussex Nightstop - The Everest Challenge

Sussex Nightstop is a charity serving young people aged 16-25 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. Young people don’t choose homelessness. It can be the safer option than staying at home.
