Thank you for choosing to take on a fitness challenge for Sussex Nightstop - a charity serving young people aged 16-25 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. We provide safe, welcoming places to stay through our volunteer host network - people with a spare room to offer and a desire to help - which prevents rough sleeping and the dangers associated with it.
It’s a collaboration, which makes us firm believers in people power.
So in advance of your challenge, let’s take inspiration from one another. We share three strengths that help us turn young lives around from crisis to calm, that will also make your challenge a success.
Planning – you’ve chosen to take on a challenge because you’re motivated to achieve a goal and fundraising is a great way to push yourself. We’re big planners… it breeds success, which is why so many of our guests don’t just go on to a place to call home…. our service gives young people the courage to believe they can achieve whatever they want. So let’s aim big together!
Perseverance – our challenges are designed to fit busy lives, so you can take it on in chunks that work for you. In order to complete your challenge, we highly recommend that you fix dates for each leg and stick to it. Similarly we never give up on the young people we support when they’re in housing crisis. We see it through to the end.
Teamwork – you’ve set your challenge, now let’s inspire others – either to challenge themselves with you or sponsor you. Use our fundraising pack to achieve as much success as you can before the event and don’t forget to share pictures and/or video with us, so we can share your achievement with others. We’re proud of you already!
