Lung cancer is the biggest cancer killer in both men and women. 46,000 people are diagnosed every year in the UK. One of the main reasons for the high mortality rate is that lung cancer is often diagnosed late, when it can no longer be treated with curative intent. With your help we can change this.
We fund research into early detection of lung cancer and are funding a lung health check programme in Nottingham, to detect the disease earlier in high risk people. We provide support and advice through our lung cancer support groups and nurse led telephone helpline and provide specialist information packs free of charge. We also campaign for better outcomes for patients.
Without doubt, detecting lung cancer early gives people the best chance against this devastating disease and we would love it if you could help us make that a reality. Join our Roy’s Runners team and we can beat the UK’s biggest cancer killer together.’
