Refuge provides a range of life saving services to help rebuild the lives of women and their children, free from fear and violence. We make sure the experiences of survivors are at the heart of our work and help amplify their voices. Our specialist staff understand the diverse and complex needs of those experiencing abuse and we are experts in the dynamics of domestic abuse and gender-based violence.

Domestic abuse and violence against women and girls will only end when we create gender equality. Refuge is a feminist organisation striving for inclusivity and equality and our feminism is intersectional. Every day we work extensively and closely with survivors of domestic abuse, ensuring their diverse and varied experiences and needs are central to everything we do.
