We are an inclusive global movement to tackle Ocean threats through science and storytelling.
We exist to restore a sustainable relationship between humanity and the Ocean. Our experience has taught us to tackle the full range of human actions threatening the Ocean. No ordinary NGO, Ocean Generation combines the disruptive energy of a youth collective with years of experience in storytelling through science and film. We are proud that our Ocean Intelligence youth engagement programmes have been endorsed by the Intergovernmental Oceanic Commission of UNESCO as a project under the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development. our Youth Outreach Programme is at the heart of what we do. In 2021/22 we finished the development of a suite of three initiatives, targeted by age from 3-25 years old. Content progresses from a toe in the water for the very youngest to a full immersion experience.
We seek to engage youth in the wonder of the Ocean and then progressively develop knowledge and eventually stimulate collective behaviour-change actions appropriate for each age group.
