Each year at Oasis we help over 1,500 adults and 350 children who have been affected by domestic abuse. Our aim is to end violence and abuse & spread the message that Love Shouldn’t Hurt.
At Oasis we provide:
advice and support from the start through our Helpline;
a safe place to stay for families fleeing abuse;
support through the courts;
mentoring and therapy for those who have suffered trauma;
help in building a safe new life.
We work to ensure that family life is free from abuse. We provide accommodation for those fleeing from anywhere in the county, and further afield. In East Kent our refuges house up to 18 adults and 30 children at a time. In North Kent, we offer supported accommodation for up to 14 young women aged 18-25 who have experienced domestic abuse and homelessness. We provide community support & mentoring across East Kent, North Kent and Medway.
