17.4% of the population of Nepal was living under the poverty-line in 2019 (Government of Nepal National Planning Commission, 2021). Comprised of notoriously difficult remote terrain and an over-populated capital, and subject to the full force of nature’s forces, disadvantaged people of Nepal often find themselves marginalised, and the health and welfare of these vulnerable individuals remains of significant concern.
