Imago Dei is a charity that works with women in prison through 2 suites of courses and continues to support women once they leave prison to live well and crime-free. We want to see women in prison and on their release live to their fullest potential, set free from their past and knowing their true value and identity in life. We believe that no one should be defined by their past or even their current circumstances. Our purpose is to provide support specifically tailored to meet the needs of women in prison, those leaving prison, women who are serving community sentences and those in contact with the Criminal Justice System. Providing women with the tools and skills to be empowered to make different life choices, and to change the trajectory of their lives. We want to see the women we work with become valuable members of society, living crime-free lives which benefit themselves, their families and, society as a whole. We aim to see them parent well and help their children grow to be successful in their lives, supported by healthy parental support, and to end generational criminality and to see a reduction in the re-offending rate.
