Week in, week out FoodCycle nourish the hungry and lonely in our communities with delicious meals and great conversation using food which would otherwise go to waste. FoodCycle are running Community Meals and Cook and Collect services in towns and cities across the country, where volunteers turn surplus food into wholesome, nutritious meals. Anyone who steps through the door of a FoodCycle meal, first timer or seasoned regular, is made to feel comfortable and welcome with no questions asked. When food is served, volunteers and guests sit down to eat together. For many guests, this meal may be the one moment in a week they share a meal and conversation with other people.
We know that many people are also struggling with loneliness and feeling isolated making our Check-in and Chat service the perfect chance for a weekly natter. Our many thousands of skilled, trained and dedicated volunteers help FoodCycle support those in need and we have plenty of ways you can get involved – by fundraising, cooking, hosting or making weekly phone calls – we’d love you to join the FoodCycle family.
