Our Wilderness Foundation education and therapy programmes help children, young people and adults reconnect to society and themselves through outdoor facilitation adventures, nature based therapy and environemntal education programmes.
Our work highlights the positive impact of wild nature on personal and social wellbeing.
Every year we provide opportunities for individuals and groups to directly experience the irreplaceable quality of wilderness, both as a positive force for social and environmental sustainability and as a forum for personal growth and change. We educate a wide audience, particularly young people, about the value of wild nature and natural landscapes, creating stewardship into the future and informed knowledge of social and environmental issues, and personal experiences of improved health and well-being through spending time in nature.
We continue to work with some of the hardest to reach most-disadvantaged young people in our community in a variety of proven early intervention programmes including TurnAround and OutThere Wilderness Academy where young people are helped to get back into school, furhter education or work.
