The Katie Piper Foundation
Rebuilding lives after burns and trauma
Founded in 2009 by burns survivor Katie Piper OBE, the Katie Piper Foundation exists so that no one living with burns or traumatic scarring ever feels alone.
We are the only UK charity providing a complete rehabilitation pathway that extends beyond NHS acute care. Our mission is to ensure every survivor has access to lifelong, specialist support long after the emergency treatment has ended.
We deliver clinically led, trauma-informed rehabilitation that supports the whole person – physically, emotionally and psychologically. Burns and scarring can have a lasting impact on movement, mental health, confidence and identity, which is why our approach is holistic and personalised to each individual.
We support survivors at any stage of their journey, whether their injury is recent or decades old, helping them rebuild strength, independence and self-belief. Our services include specialist physiotherapy, psychological support and tailored rehabilitation programmes designed around each person’s needs and goals.
Our aim is simple: to help every survivor recover not only function, but confidence and identity – and to ensure no one faces life after burns alone.
