Sound Seekers (The Commonwealth Society for the Deaf) partners with local schools and hospitals to support children and adults with hearing loss realise their rights by enabling access to education and healthcare services. We set up ear and hearing health services, train local healthcare staff in audiology, provide mobile outreach clinics, and train teachers in mainstreams schools in hearing loss awareness and how to effectively include a child with hearing loss in class.
We currently have projects in Malawi, Zambia, The Gambia, Sierra Leone and Cameroon.
