We are Prost8 UK, a charity championing minimally invasive treatments for men with early-stage prostate cancer. We believe saving lifestyles is just as important as saving lives. Every single year about 12,000 men with less aggressive prostate cancer are given the same invasive treatments as men with advanced cancer. This leaves many men with unnecessary, life-changing side effects.

We are raising funds to improve access to these treatments by buying and installing focal therapy units in NHS hospitals across the UK, reducing the postcode lottery. Currently, only four NHS hospitals in the UK offer focal treatment, primarily located in the South. It is crucial to expand these options nationwide to ensure that men facing prostate cancer have equal access, ultimately saving their lifestyles. We are also raising awareness of focal treatments as many men who are suitable are not even told by their local clinician or given misinformation due to a lack of knowledge in the medical profession.
