Passion for Learning C.I.O

Passion for Learning provides a range of services to children and families within Cheshire’s most deprived communities as measured by the Indices of Deprivation. We recruit and train community volunteers to support children primarily between the ages of 3 and 11, working to give them access to the experiences and opportunities that many other children can take for granted, those experiences that open their eyes to a world that they frequently know nothing about.

The impact of the cost-of-living crisis disproportionately affected and continues to affect the families that we support, many of our beneficiaries never go out of their own estate or access the things that grow their vocabulary, sophisticate their social and emotional skills and support their mental health. Everything that we do is bespoke and designed to be a memorable motivating experience that has the potential to open doors to a better future.

Trips that we provide for the children include to places such as theatres, farms, the beach, forests, country parks and many others. We have many other projects and services bespoke to the needs that we identify, these include a gardening club, book club, and an inter-generational project that links schools with local care homes.
