Ajyal Foundation for Education is an UK-based nonprofit that develops and collaborates on the delivery of high quality, research-led education and mental welfare for disadvantaged communities impacted by war, violence and displacement, with a particular focus on Palestinians and refugees. When you commit to fundraising with us, all funds raised go to our work to provide urgent essentials, trauma-informed education, and psychosocial support.
Ajyal is uniquely positioned to do this work, as all Ajyal’s interventions and provisions are mobilised from within Gaza by working through on our existing partnerships and strong networks on the ground.
We do not rely on any resources or materials that need to be sourced from outside of Gaza due to restrictions on aid entering the Strip and for sustainability. Ajyal co-creates and supports the implementation of psychosocial activities for children during this time of immense trauma, stress, and displacement, while also distributing urgent essentials including food parcels, jackets and warm clothing, and hygiene kits. Providing children with these urgent essentials and a safe, respectful, trauma-informed, and engaging learning environment can and will have a long-lasting impact on their lives and communities.
