Tourettes Action

Tourettes Action is the only UK‑wide charity dedicated to supporting people with Tourette Syndrome (TS) and their families.

We work to ensure that everyone with TS receives the practical support, understanding, and social acceptance they need to live life to the fullest.

Tourette Syndrome is an inherited neurological condition that affects around one school‑aged child in every hundred. More than 300,000 children and adults in the UK live with TS. Its key features are tics — involuntary, repeated movements and sounds. Many people with TS also experience co‑occurring conditions such as Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and anxiety.

Our vision is a world where everyone with TS has access to comprehensive support at every stage of life, alongside continued research that leads to improved treatments. As we receive no government funding, Tourettes Action relies entirely on the generosity of supporters.
