We like to think every element of The Yorkshire Marathon is charged with Yorkshire Spirit. Since the inaugural event in 2013, the event has gotten bigger and bigger. Every year, thousands of runners of all abilities take to its truly breathtaking course.
But you’ll never be far from the locals who will be out in force to cheer you along. The event is now such a global draw that spectators come from across the world to be part of the experience and to add their support.
As you head along University Road to the finish, remember; it’s tradition to "do the Y" as you cross the line. Yorkshire, Yorkshire, Yorkshire!
Whether you’re aiming to smash your PB or just looking to cross the finish line, the Yorkshire Marathon is the perfect experience for beginners and experienced athletes alike.Read More Read Less
At The Seafarers’ Charity (formerly Seafarers UK), our vision is to create ‘a world where seafarers and their families are valued and free of need and disadvantage’. We’ve been improving their lives since 1917, when we launched as the King George’s Fund for Sailors. Conceived by far-sighted ship owners and officers, and championed by King George V, the KGFS is a key strand of our DNA and something of which we’re very proud. Today, The Seafarers’ Charity is an evolving, forward-looking charity – building on past successes but expanding our capabilities to make a genuine difference.
By taking part in an event in support of our charity, you will be enabling us to further our reach and help more seafarers and their families in times of need.Read More Read Less
