Virtual Race - The Everest Challenge

Virtual Race - The Everest Challenge

1st November 2024 ‐ 30th November 2024

This is the big one! Mount Everest is the highest point on earth and one of the biggest physical challenges a person can take on! Sitting 8,848m above sea level, the summit is a dome of snow with space for 6 people standing. You can follow in the footsteps of Sir Edmund Hillary and climb to the top of Mount Everest.

So, can you climb the equivalent of Mount Everest in 12 weeks? In this challenge, you can go out to the hills on your daily exercise or simply tackle the stairs a couple of (hundred) times every day.....Once you've achieved an elevation gain of 8,848m, you'll just need to submit your evidence to get your well earned medal:

How it works:

1) Sign up to your race
2) Complete your run
3) Upload your evidence to Virtual@runforcharity.com on completion
4) Put your feet up
5) Wait for the postman to drop off your medal!

Evidence Submission

Simply take a picture of your fitness tracker, watch or any other tech device which can show you having completed your challenge and send it via email to virtual@runforcharity.com with your name, the name of the challenge you did and our charity name. We will also accept daily written logs or a picture of you at the end of your challenge with your time and distance written on a piece of paper.

All medals are subject to availability at this time. Please note that all International Registrations (outside of the UK) will have to cover a £10 postage fee before the medal is posted.

Good luck!
