Join us for the inaugural Warrington Running Festival. Run a Half Marathon, 10k or 5k in and around Warrington Town Centre. Starting and finishing at the Town Hall’s iconic Golden Gates, this new event has a road closed, a flat and fast route that will provide the perfect opportunity to push yourself to a chip timed, personal best.
The Warrington Running Festival is a brand new event for Warrington. We at RunThrough Events have been delivering successful and highly regarded running events for 7 years; including the London Half Marathon, Cheshire 10k, Run Tatton, Run Aintree, Blackburn 10k, Leicestershire Half, Hertfordshire Half, Hampton Court Palace Half Marathon and many more, with over 120,000 runners running a RunThrough event in 2019 alone.
We would like to respectfully make clear that neither this event nor any person within the RunThrough Events organising team or structure has any association with the previously staged English Half Marathon, its organisers or company owners in any way.
Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity provide specialist nurses and support for seriously ill children.
There are currently over 120 Road Dahl Nurses caring for more than 33,000 seriously ill children, but there are still too many children with serious illnesses who do not receive this vital specialist care.
We understand how immensely difficult being diagnosed with a serious illness is for a child and their whole family. It is uncertain, overwhelming, scary, and deeply unfair. It can be isolating and takes over your whole life. Navigating this challenging and complex world can be daunting, particularly when an initial diagnosis is made. And that is where our marvellous Roald Dahl Nurses come in – ensuring that seriously ill children no longer have to brave their illnesses alone.
Roald Dahl Nurses are trained and dedicated experts in their field. They are a consistent presence in the child’s life from initial diagnosis through to the child’s transition to adult services. They advise, they reassure, and they become an extended part of the family.
The dedication and expertise of our nurses reduces A&E visits, hospital admissions and consultant appointments. They’re also a vital lifeline to the whole family, coordinating care and providing access to high quality emotional support.
That’s why we believe every seriously ill child deserves a Roald Dahl Nurse.
