Childhood Eye Cancer Trust

Providing ongoing support to anyone affected by retinoblastoma

The Childhood Eye Cancer Trust (CHECT) is the only UK charity solely dedicated to helping families and individuals affected by retinoblastoma (Rb), a rare form of eye cancer affecting children and babies predominantly under the age of six.

Approximately one child a week in the UK is diagnosed with Rb, and families travel miles every time they need to receive treatment at one of the only two hospitals in the UK that treat Rb.

Our mission is to save eyes, save sight and save lives. We do this by providing support to those who need us for as long as they need us, raise awareness and fund research to reduce the negative impact of this disease.

How Your Support Helps

As a small charity that recieves no government funding, we are reliant on the generosity of our supporters like you. The money you raise will help us to continue to provide a lifeline to those who need us, by offering guidance, emotional support and practical advice from diagnosis, during treatment and throughou the lives of those affected. This helps families navigate the complexities of treatment and post-treatment care ensuring we are there for those who need us every step of the way.

Your support will also help us to raise awareness amongst the general public and healthare professionals to ensure early diagnosis and treatment. As well as, fund pioneering research into the causes, treatment and impact of Rb.
