Staffordshire Search & Rescue Team

Staffordshire Search and Rescue Team (SSART) is a volunteer-run, 24/7 emergency resource that works alongside the police and other emergency services to find missing and vulnerable people in the county of Staffordshire.

No matter what the circumstances are, we are ready to search, rescue and support. Our searches take place across rural, urban and water environments in Staffordshire using specialist skills and equipment tailored to each scenario. Any person who goes missing or is injured in Staffordshire would benefit from our services along with the families and friends of those people who we are searching for.

Everything we do from callouts to training is funded by kind donations from the public and local businesses. To be able to respond to emergency callouts and operate efficiently, we need upto date modern kit and equipment, as most of what we have is old, not efficient, heavy and needs replacing. Our goals going forward, is to replace our ageing equipment as soon as we can. We are proud to serve Staffordshire and surrounding counties, standing ready to respond whenever we’re needed.
