Riding for the Disabled Association Incorporating Carriage Driving (RDA)

Enriching lives through horses

Too many disabled children and adults are held back by everyday barriers that prevent them from being active, leading to social isolation, poorer health, and reduced wellbeing. Demand for inclusive, life-changing activities has never been higher: nearly 4,000 people are on RDA’s waiting lists, and 71% of local groups cannot meet demand.

RDA helps 39,000 people each year gain confidence, independence, and a sense of belonging. Through riding, carriage driving, and equine-assisted activities, participants improve physical health, strengthen mental wellbeing, and develop meaningful social connections. RDA delivers this support through 13,700 volunteers, 1,700 qualified coaches, 2,800 horses, and over 450 groups and approved centres nationwide, enabling thousands to take part in meaningful, inclusive activities every year.
