"Revitalise is a national charity of over 60 years and the UK’s leading provider of respite breaks and holidays for disabled people and carers. They support over 150 disabilities in two purpose-built and fully accessible holiday centres: Sandpipers here in Southport, and Jubilee Lodge in Chigwell, Essex.
On a Revitalise break, guests can take the break they need and get the holiday they deserve, backed up by 24-hour personal and nursing care support as needed. Dedicated teams take guests out on daily excursions, lead fun activities in the centre, provide full-board hospitality and cap it all off with brilliant live evening entertainment.
The charity is supported by over 3000 volunteers every year, who add a vital social and fun element to each guest’s stay. Volunteer experiences range from social day support to residential placements of seven nights or more, including those completing their Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award.
Revitalise actively advocates about the importance of respite and for the protection of respite funding. In the last year, their Give me a break campaign has featured on regional and national news and radio over 7 times, including on BBC, Channel 4, Good Morning Britain, and ITV. "
