Midland Mencap
Supporting people with learning disabilities, their families & carers across the West Midlands
Midland Mencap is a charity dedicated to supporting people with learning disabilities, their families, and carers across the West Midlands.
Through a range of community-based services, the organisation provides information, advice, advocacy, housing support, and meaningful opportunities that enable individuals to live fulfilling and independent lives. Midland Mencap’s work is built around three core offers: providing safe and secure quality housing, delivering the right support to enable a lifestyle of choice, and creating access to meaningful activities and opportunities that promote inclusion and wellbeing.
Midland Mencap believes that every person is an individual with their own strengths, aspirations, and right to make informed choices about their life. Through a co-production approach, the charity works alongside the people and communities we support to design and deliver services that reflect what matters most to them. Our vision is a society where people with learning disabilities have equitable access to safe, inclusive, and person-centred support throughout every stage of life, enabling active citizenship. Guided by values of empowerment, inclusion, collaboration, and innovation, Midland Mencap is committed to reducing inequalities, promoting rights and choice, and ensuring people have the opportunities, support, and voice they need to achieve the outcomes they want.
