We are all incredibly lucky to live in a country with a National Health Service. However, it is a truth that there is a divide in public and private healthcare and, where the NHS may be restricted in funding, our aim is to help bridge that gap. Our charity was formed in 1985 to support the Oliver Fisher Neonatal Unit with funding, hoping to improve the care and outcomes, not just of babies, but their families too. Over the years, our work has not only funded essential equipment such as ventilators, monitors and specialist cots but has gone a lot further. Funds raised have gone towards things such as sensory lighting, the commissioning of a Transitional Care Ward and holistic care appointments for caregivers.
