The Matthew22 Fund

Forward Through Adversity

Welcome to The Matthew22 Fund, a UK registered charity established in memory of Matthew Hollingworth, who sadly passed away from bone cancer in February 2022 at just 22 years old.

The Matthew22 Fund supports children and young adults diagnosed with cancer and other life-changing illnesses, as well as their families, during what can be an incredibly challenging time. Currently, we have raised over £130,000 providing grants for other registered charities and funding community programmes at both a local and national level.

With your help, we will continue to raise crucial funds that provide vital support to patients and their families when they need it most.

How Your Support Helps

At the Matthew22 Fund, donations help to support children and young adults facing some of the most challenging moments of their lives. Thanks to your generosity so far, we have been able to:

  • Provide over 200 financial support grants, helping families manage unexpected costs during treatment and recovery
  • Fund 100 travel grants, so patients and loved ones can attend vital hospital appointments and specialist care
  • Facilitate both in-person and digital support groups, creating safe spaces where patients and families can connect with one another

Every donation helps us to provide assistance for children and young adults who are facing life-changing illnesses.

Thank you for your support.
