St Luke’s provides tailored, holistic care for people aged 18 and over from across Sheffield, at all stages of life from the point of diagnosis with a terminal illness. The majority of St Luke’s patients are cared for in their own home or care home and never actually set foot in the hospice itself. Many patients take part in social prescribing and wellbeing activities, and some visit the In Patient Centre for a short stay to help with pain and symptom management. St Luke’s supports families and carers too, with social, spiritual, wellbeing and bereavement support.
Each year, our work touches the lives of around 6,000 people in and around Sheffield. With only 23% of our costs being funded by the government, we need to raise over £11million this year to continue the work we do.
