Being diagnosed with a life-limiting illness can be devastating. It affects every part of your life and has a huge impact on those around you. Since we opened our doors in 1905, St Joseph’s Hospice have provided exceptional care to people across East London when they are at their most vulnerable.

We see the person - with their own unique story, fears and needs - not just the illness. We help patients to live the best quality of life possible and support families, helping them make the most of the time they have together. 

We are here for everyone who needs us and our care is free of charge. We receive around half of our funding from the NHS, but we need to raise an additional £6 million each year to meet our running costs.
