Every year more than 800,000 people learn how to save a life through our training programmes, including hundreds of thousands of young people.
Our volunteers provide first aid in their communities, keeping people safe at events and working alongside the NHS. We also campaign to raise awareness of first aid and directly educate the public. We want everyone to learn first aid so they can be the difference between a life lost and a life saved.
Life doesn’t usually throw us accidents and emergencies just outside A&E. Emergencies happen in our everyday lives, in everyday places in our everyday routines. Nobody should die because first aid isn’t nearby; which is why St John Ambulance is putting the power of first aid into everybody’s hands. So, we’re all closer to help in an emergency. But as a charity we rely on people like you to help us train up these everyday lifesavers to have the confidence and skills to step up in a first aid emergency.
If you believe in the power of first aid, support more everyday lifesavers to step up in an emergency. Do it for friends and family. Do it for you.
