PKD Charity is a UK-based organization dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD). We play a vital role in advocating for the 70,000 people in the UK who live with this incurable disease.
Since our founding in 2000, we have invested thousands of pounds into ground breaking research aimed at developing new treatments to slow or prevent the progression of PKD, reduce pain, improve quality of life, and ultimately find a cure.
In addition to funding research, we host support groups and events throughout the year, offering unwavering support and valuable resources to our community. Whether individuals need information on managing the condition, emotional support from people who truly understand, or advocacy for further research and treatment options, we are here for them.
These gatherings foster a vital sense of belonging and reassurance, reminding everyone that they are not alone in their journey with PKD. Together, we are committed to making a difference and bringing hope to those affected by this challenging condition.
