At Music of Life, we believe every child and young person deserves the opportunity to experience the joy, connection and life-changing power of music, regardless of disability or additional needs.
Since 2003, we've been transforming lives through inclusive music education, creating opportunities for children and young people who often face significant barriers to accessing music. We work with specialist schools and communities across London, the West Midlands and beyond, ensuring that music is accessible to everyone.
Our programmes include inclusive choirs in special schools, specialist music education for Deaf children, individual instrumental lessons and leadership opportunities for young people. Through these activities, we help children and young people develop confidence, communication skills, independence and a sense of belonging, while discovering their talents and expressing themselves creatively.
For many of the children we support, music offers a powerful way to communicate and connect with others, particularly when words aren't always possible. Whether it's a child finding their voice through singing, a Deaf student discovering the joy of playing an instrument, or a young person taking their first steps as a musical leader, every achievement matters.
Last year, we provided more than 49,000 individual music opportunities, reaching over 1,800 children and young people.
As a charity, we rely on the generosity of supporters, funders and partners to make this work possible. Every donation helps us reach more children, remove barriers and create opportunities for young people to thrive.
Because music is more than something we do. It's a way to connect, grow and belong.
Your miles can make music. Your fundraising can change lives.
When you take on a challenge for Music of Life, you're doing more than crossing a finish line. You're helping Deaf and disabled children and young people experience the joy, confidence and opportunities that music can bring.
For many of the children we support, accessing music education isn't straightforward. Specialist teaching can be difficult to find, opportunities are often limited, and families and schools may not have the resources to provide the musical experiences every child deserves.
That's where you come in.
By running, walking or taking on a challenge for Music of Life, you'll help us break down these barriers and bring inclusive, high-quality music education to more children and young people.
Your fundraising could help us:
Deliver weekly inclusive choir sessions where children can sing, connect and build confidence.
Provide specialist instrumental lessons tailored to each child's abilities and needs.
Give Deaf children opportunities to explore music through accessible, creative teaching.
Support young people to develop leadership skills and discover new possibilities for their futures.
Create unforgettable performance opportunities where children can celebrate their achievements.
Every pound you raise helps us continue this vital work and reach more children who might otherwise miss out.
Whether you're tackling your first 5K, taking on a half marathon or pushing yourself to complete a marathon, we'll be cheering you on every step of the way.
Whatever your challenge, whatever your fundraising target, you'll be making a meaningful difference.
So, lace up your trainers, take on a challenge and help us make music accessible to every child.
Together, we can change lives, one note and one mile at a time.
