10% of the population are thought to be dyslexic. Without appropriate support in place, dyslexic people can experience low self-confidence and find it hard to reach their potential.
The British Dyslexia Association is here to change that. By acting as the voice of dyslexia people we change society by removing barriers so that everyone with dyslexia can reach their full potential in education, in employment and in life. We do this via awareness raising and promoting a deeper understanding of dyslexia through training and education and empowering people through our national helpline and free resources and webinars.
For many, this means life-changing access to the identification of needs, strategies for support and a community of peers.
Every step you run will help to ensure dyslexic people across the country are given the support they need to thrive. 80% of dyslexic children leave school undiagnosed, feeling bad about themselves, and with no knowledge of what support they could have recieved. The BDA are here to change that. We work tirelessly to support dyslexic people of all ages, and campaign for change at a systmatic level, so that everyone with dyslexia is supported to reach their full potential. No matter their income, no matter their background. No matter what.
